September 12, 2006: I was very excited when I learned I’d won a scholarship from the Sacramento chapter of American Women in Radio and Television. Each year at their “Good News Awards” ceremony, the chapter gives out three scholarships: best radio entry, best television entry, and best overall. I won best overall for my TV package about a Pleasanton man who makes wooden toys for needy children.
